Ambitious indeed have beneficial properties in terms of careers and the economy. But not in terms of health, because people with this trait are more susceptible to heart disease, stroke and blood vessel alias.
Based on the research of Friedman and Rosenman, there are two types of properties owned by men, the type A and type B.
Type A is the people who are ambitious by nature, competitive, impatient, aggressive, hasty and irritable. While type B people have a sociable nature and more relaxed.
People who have the properties of type A, one of the ambitious and competitive, generally do not ever want to lose so they will be more easily frustrated and prone to stress.
Well, stress is one of the triggering factors for heart disease. Patterns of living and working full-time stress because of bad management, nor is it not possible to increase heart rate and blood pressure are often perceived as chest pain or angina pectoris.
When people experience stress, the hypothalamus in the brain will trigger stress hormones, both the adrenaline and non-adrenaline, which then trigger increased heart rate, increased blood pressure which resulted in injury to the artery wall and formation of clots in blood vessels, and atherosclerosis (hardening arterial blood vessels).
People can even die suddenly from heart disease, because the blood vessels rupture triggered by stress. This is called acute heart disease. Relationship between stress and changes in total cholesterol level, which clearly shows a rapid increase in blood fat levels that interfere with the clearing mechanism of body fat. Although stress is not a major factor cause heart disease, but the stress faced by most people, especially those with properties of type A.
To overcome this, people who have the characteristics of type A should be able to maintain good eating habits and a healthy lifestyle. Because of the possibility of experiencing stress will increase if the person is having a major risk factor for heart disease, namely smoking, cholesterol and diabetes.
Daily routine or busy office can obscure this realization. So the only way is the ability to manage time well so that they can get the job done without causing excessive stress, besides of course a healthy life.
